Bel has spent over 20 years living and working with regional Australia and across the food & fibre supply chain.

From an early role with the Department of Agriculture, to leading the national Agribusiness strategy for two of Australia’s big four banks, Bel has more recently taken on the role of leading Woolworths Groups’ climate and nature mission across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on supporting a sustainable and resilient food supply chain.  

A typical day for Bel has her partnering with various leaders of industry to reduce the worsening impacts that climate change and nature loss are having on food production and supply disruption, recognising the increasing pressure this places on our farmers, regional communities and food supply cost for customers.

She also leads the Groups climate and nature reporting, recognising the value of transparent reporting to a broad range of stakeholder groups including customers, suppliers, investors and regulators.

With a career that has spanned across public and private sectors, in legal, risk, strategy, finance and sustainability roles with several top 20 ASX listed companies, Bel remains passionate about Australia and New Zealand’s agricultural sector and in helping get high quality products from farmers’ paddocks to customers’ plates, through the 20 million customer transactions that Woolworths supports every week.
