Jasveer is an advocate for modern regulation and reducing compliance burden for industry. He championed the “tell us once” approach in the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Deregulation Taskforce. Currently leading the Credentials and Digital Innovation team at the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry at the Agricultural Traceability Branch. He continues to push for a simple, innovative and data-led approach to regulation and creating alignment between commercial and regulatory systems.
His work on traceability will increase transparency in the supply chain, support industry to meet new and emerging requirements like sustainability, and boost Australia’s agricultural sector. Jasveer is a lawyer and designer from Canberra and spent much of his childhood on his family’s sugar cane farm in Fiji.
