Jen Bond is a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography within the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences at Charles Sturt University (CSU) inAlbury.
Jen started her career as a grains extension officer on theGraduate Program with the (then) Victorian Department of Primary Industries in 2004 and quickly became interested in the social dimensions of farming.
Through further study, including a MSc. Agricultural Development and PhD RuralDevelopment, both from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, Jen moved into a research career focusing on the interactions between people and the natural environment, within agricultural landscapes.
Jen's current research includes project work funded by the Australian Centre for International AgriculturalResearch in climate adaptation in cropping systems in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta and fish passage implementation in Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia.
In Australia, Jen contributes to two Future Drought Fund projects focused on increasing drought resilience within grain, livestock, horticulture and viticulture communities across NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. Jen teaches Extension to CSU undergraduate students studying a range of degrees including agricultural science, equine science, animal science and horticulture.
