CEO

Lise Walbom is a leading figure in the food and agriculture sector, with more than 25 years of experience in sustainable development within national and global food systems across both the private and public sectors.

As CEO of Food Nation – Denmark’s public-private partnership for the agriculture and food cluster – she promotes Denmark’s strengths in innovative, sustainable and efficient food production. Food Nation serves as a global gateway to Danish agriculture and food solutions, building awareness, fostering partnerships and strengthening Denmark’s position as a leader in sustainable growth, innovation and export in food and agriculture.

Earlier in her career, she led projects within business development, food innovation and international partnerships – including initiatives at Danish Industry, a private business and employers' organisation representing approximately 20,000 companies in Denmark – to strengthen productivity and supply chain co-operation, as well as projects to improve healthy school meals and promote Danish organic exports under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.

Walbom holds a Master of Science (Cand.agro.) in Agricultural Science from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, where she gained deep technical insights into food production and farming systems. She later complemented her academic foundation with a diploma in management focused on strategy and coaching. Throughout her career, she has combined this solid educational background with leadership on national and global food system issues
