Head of Sustainable Sourcing

Rebecca Honeysett is Head of Sustainable Sourcing for McDonald’s Australia and NZ and is based in Sydney.   Coming from a food retail background in the UK and Australia, Rebecca joined McDonald’s 12 years ago in food procurement, sourcing ingredients for McDonald’s famous menu, from beef patties to nuggets, milk, fresh produce, and packaging.  In 2022, Rebecca took the opportunity establish a Sustainable Sourcing Team, focused on climate emissions, agriculture, packaging, recycling, and the transition to renewable energy.   Working closely with McDonald’s global Impact and Sustainability teams, Rebecca works closely with Australian suppliers and industry to establish a roadmap towards a more resilient and sustainable supply chain and restaurants.  Rebecca is passionate about the continuous learning process that Sustainable Sourcing offers, and is encouraged by the  innovation coming from Australia and around the world to reduce the impact of food production on the environment.
