Piers Hogarth-Scott comes from a family with deep pastoral roots in Australia, and developed an enduring connection to agriculture on his family’s farm near Mt Macedon, Victoria - known for its high quality Charolais cattle and spirited buffalo enthusiastically charging farm hands across the paddocks.
Today, Piers is the founder and managing partner of TerraVida, a boutique management consulting firm dedicated to the agriculture and food sector. Based in Sydney, he serves as a trusted advisor to boards and senior executives across the triple helix of industry, government and research.
Piers has 30years of international experience, including senior leadership roles as a Partner at global management consulting firms, leading significant AgriFood Transformation and Digital AgriFood practices. He brings deep expertise in strategy, data, digital transformation and advanced technologies.
He is actively involved in global systems leadership and industry collaboration initiatives, and is also a co-founder of We3 AI, a pioneering joint venture focused on AI-enabled computer vision solutions transforming livestock management.
