Simon Hoffmeyer is a seasoned sustainability leader with over two decades of experience at the intersection of strategy, business development, PR, and communications. As Vice President of Group Sustainability at Carlsberg Group, he leads the global implementation of the company’s ambitious programme, Together Towards ZERO and Beyond, which sets bold targets across carbon reduction, water stewardship, diversity, equity & inclusion, and biodiversity.
Carlsberg Group operates in over 100 markets worldwide, navigating a diverse and often complex landscape—from emerging economies to highly regulated regions. Simon plays a key role in embedding sustainability across this global footprint, ensuring that initiatives are both locally relevant and globally impactful.
He is driven by a passion for making sustainability tangible and accessible to consumers, while building transformative partnerships across the value chain. Under his leadership, Carlsberg became one of the first ten companies globally to set Science-Based Targets aligned with the 1.5°C ambition of the Paris Agreement—demonstrating a deep commitment to climate action and corporate responsibility.
Simon is also a strong advocate for regenerative agriculture as a key lever for climate resilience and biodiversity restoration. He works to embed regenerative principles into Carlsberg’s sourcing strategies—supporting farmers in transitioning to practices that rebuild soil health, enhance ecosystem services, and sequester carbon. Through long-term partnerships and collaborative innovation, Simon is helping shape a more sustainable and regenerative future for the brewing industry.
